About Julie Weaver

Julie Weaver grew up in Perth, Western Australia, and after a childhood spent fishing, riding motorbikes, and tinkering with cars, she studied her ass off to become a mechanical engineer. Her career took her to some interesting places, including West Africa, remote Australian mine sites, and offshore oil and gas platforms.

Nowadays, Julie is stretching her creative brain by writing spicy romance books with morally grey heroes. Her first novel, The Hit, was announced as the winner of the 2021 Romance Writers of Australia Emerald Award and a finalist in the 2022 Ruby Award.

Julie described in as few words as possible:

  • Boy mum

  • Dog obsessed

  • Revhead

  • STEM geek

  • Swears too much

  • Coffee snob

  • Goes from perfectly fine to hangry in milliseconds

  • Still awake at 3am, thinking about some stupid thing she said twenty years ago

The Team Zulu series features morally gray, ex-elite military heroes, and the brave heroines who challenge them. Each novel can be read as a standalone, however I recommend starting at book 1, The Hit, for the best reader experience.

If you enjoy spicy enemies to lovers romance and protective alpha heroes with heart, the Team Zulu series may be for you.
